In honor of her profound impact, this year’s Women Build design pays homage to Rosalynn Carter by drawing inspiration from a shirt she and President Carter wore during their inaugural Habitat for Humanity work project in New York City in 1984. This marked the beginning of a cornerstone tradition, the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, which played a pivotal role in catapulting Habitat for Humanity into the national spotlight. As we fondly remember Rosalynn Carter’s contributions, we invite you to join us as we celebrate her commitment to service and continue her legacy of building hope and creating brighter futures.
2024 totes will be available for purchase at our Women Build Happy Hour on Friday, May 3 from 3–5pm at our offices in Kearny Mesa. Your $20 ticket includes drinks and light bites, and you’ll get the opportunity to connect with our Women Build community, walk through our playhouse garden, and vote on your favorite playhouse. We invite you to raise a glass in support of this year’s Women Builders as we commemorate Rosalynn Carter’s legacy and commitment to service.
