The ReStore is Habitat’s discount home improvement warehouse where we accept donations of home goods and building materials and sell them to the public to fund our mission. We need volunteers like you in order to operate our ReStores — organizing the store, accepting donations, and assisting customers.
Helping out at the ReStore is flexible, so if you are available for an hour or two or would like to help out for the entire day, we have opportunities for you. And we are now able to have volunteers assist our drivers by joining them on the truck to pick up donations. These shifts are less flexible due to the donation pick up schedule, but they are very impactful.
Whether you are interested in bringing a group, volunteering individually, staying the day or just whenever you’re available, the ReStore is a great opportunity to make an impact with San Diego Habitat. Please note that the minimum age to volunteer at the ReStore is 14 and the minimum age to volunteer on the truck is 18.
