Ms. Marj is a veteran of the
United States Army. She is still very independent at her current age but knows that eventually, going up and down the steps of her home may become more difficult. Thanks to our partnership with The Home Depot Foundation we were able to install a new ramp and repair the steps in the front and back of Ms. Marj’s home — keeping her safe and her home accessible for years to come.
Ms. Marj was able to receive these repairs by applying to our VetRepair program, which is designed to help veteran homeowners thrive by creating healthier, safer home environments through repairs and improvements. The program assists with repairs focused on health and safety, energy efficiency and weatherization, and sustainability.
