Crews recently equipped the ground with various tanks to manage the retention of stormwater. They installed a large basin to capture initial rainwater, which will flow into a large underground water detention system called an R-Tank®. The system creates a void and underground capacity to capture stormwater. The water is then routed to the drainage system, recycled for irrigation, or absorbed by the ground underneath it. It’s not something you’ll see once the project is complete, but we think it’s pretty cool.
We’re excited to be moving forward again on the ten homes in this community. We recently closed on $1M of funding from the City of Escondido, and would love to have your support to help drive the project toward our goal of $2.2M.
