Sunday, February 21st was truly a beautiful day in Imperial Beach. The sun shined and the beach breeze blew as San Diego Habitat welcomed six new homeowners into their brand new houses, built in partnership with dedicated volunteers, supporters, and the families themselves. Guests at this heartwarming event wished the new homeowner families well and sent them blessings as they embark on the next chapter in their lives.
Mayor of Imperial Beach Serge Dedina celebrated with the six families who were presented with keys to their new homes. “This is one of the best days of me being Mayor so far,” he said.
Every person deserves to have a place to live in dignity and safety. San Diego Habitat strives to provide every family a decent home that will give them the strength and security to build their futures.
