Thank you to all of our supporters who voted in favor of Measure A — the City of San Diego initiative that would have raised $900 million to alleviate the housing crisis by building 7,500 affordable and permanent supportive housing units for families, veterans, elderly, and people experiencing homelessness.
While the measure received 58% of the vote, it fell short of the ⅔ threshold needed to pass. But the good news is that the coalition that was built during the campaign has sparked renewed energy and interest in finding creative and permanent solutions to homelessness in the City of San Diego and throughout the region.
