Mark and Hadar were married in 2010, and have a beautiful, talkative 3 year-old daughter who loves ballet dancing, music, and coloring. With a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mark has worked at a company dedicated to improving public sector health, education, and human services organizations so they can better serve our communities, for seven years. Hadar is a full-time student at Grossmont College. The couple truly believes in the power of education, and the
opportunities it can provide. They believe in working hard, and say, “Whatever you give life, life will give you back.”
Mark and Hadar are refugees – they were religiously persecuted in their home country of Iraq, and their family home was destroyed by ISIS. Mark and his four siblings are all safe in the United States now, and he will be the first one in his family to own a home here.
Family comes first for Mark and Hadar. In their free time, they enjoy local parks, beaches, and picnics with family and friends. Their Habitat home will provide safety, better financial stability, will allow them to save money for their little girl’s education, and to become a valuable part of the community.
Mark says he has no words to express his gratitude to Habitat and its supporters for giving his family the greatest push they need for success in life.
