Carlsbad, CA — San Diego Habitat for Humanity is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated fundraising event, Taste of Home, set to take place Sunday, June 2nd in Carlsbad. Presented by community champions Jack and Caroline Raymond, the event promises an evening of culinary delight and community engagement in support of affordable homeownership initiatives.
Taste of Home invites attendees to indulge in a gastronomic journey, featuring the diverse flavors of home, crafted by renowned chefs and restaurants from across the county. From savory dishes to enticing beverages, the Taste of Home experience is made possible by the generous contributions of local businesses and wineries, including:

This year’s celebration holds special significance as San Diego Habitat marks 13 years of fostering homeownership within the city of Carlsbad, where Roosevelt Garden was completed in January 2011. Tasked by the city to undertake a project that a for-profit developer was unable to complete, Habitat built 11 affordable homes, helping realize the dream of homeownership for 11 families in our region. At Taste of Home, guests will hear firsthand from homeowners offering insights into their journeys and experiences since embracing homeownership, while helping raise vital funds needed for future housing projects in Escondido and Santee. Guests will also have the opportunity to show their support through participation in a raffle and auction, while learning about the diverse ways San Diego Habitat for Humanity continues to uplift and enrich our region.
