San Diego Habitat has received grants from several of our San Diego County Supervisors that will help us continue building and repairing homes.
Vice Chair Nora Vargas (District 1) provided a $20,000 Community Enhancement Program (CEP) Grant to support construction operations, and another Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) Grant of $15,000 to support the construction of 6 new homes in National City, specifically for perimeter walls and fencing.
Chair Nathan Fletcher (District 4) granted $10,000 in CEP money to support our Housing and Community Relations Team and the Kearny Mesa ReStore. He also provided $20,000 in NRP funding to help purchase a badly needed construction vehicle.
Supervisor Jim Desmond (District 5) allocated $27,000 in NRP funding to support construction of 10 new homes in Escondido, specifically for foundation work.
We are grateful for the generosity of our government partners who provide leadership and resources that help advance affordable homeownership opportunities throughout the county. Thank you for your support of our mission!
