G Avenue | National City
About the community:
National City, San Diego County’s second oldest city, is a thriving, multi-cultural metropolis spanning 9 square miles in the South Bay region. San Diego Bay lies immediately west of the city, and the 3-mile port of National City is part of the largest U.S. Navy installation on the West Coast.
National City boasts many attractions, including several major shopping centers, a robust public transportation system, a wide variety of dining, over 87 acres of city parks, and a rich history that includes Victorian heritage and four buildings that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The City of National City was a generous partner in this project, contributing $835,000 in funding.
